Everyone!!!
Happy belated long weekend to all my fellow Canadians as well as my birthday buddies the USA!

So excited to be updating you all with some exciting news and updates. It's been a busy year outside of the blog. We have welcomed a new baby to The Littlest Studio family, bought our first home and moved closer to family! My attention as been on settling into our new life and routine. BUT I'm so happy to be getting back into the grove of updating the website and working on new patterns!

First and foremost, I have made some changes to my most popular two patterns. I have listened to your comments and feedback and as always take everything you say, however minor and apply it to my work. I always want to improve and provide you with the easiest way to make garments as possible.

Some updates you will have noticed:
The Circle Skirt Pattern as been resized to better suit knit fabrics.

The Bodice Pattern now includes easy to find links that will take you to helpful blog posts and fabric recommendations!

The Bodice pattern has been lengthened to better fit most figures.

Also the Bodice Pattern now includes sewing and cutting instructions within the file itself, saving you the trouble of having visit the website for that information.

Soooooo I'm just going to put this here:
In thanks for your continued support, comments and visits I will be releasing a new FREE Dress pattern in the coming weeks! This pattern is an exciting edition to The Littlest Studio pattern collection and will of course coordinate with the Assorted Sleeve Block Pattern.

Congrats on the latest addition! :) What a blessing!

Maybe my looker is off, but I don't see where I can download the updated version. Do I need to go to the original blog post and download from there?

Thanks for the update, though! I'm looking forward to finishing this dress!

Hi Loren! Thanks for your comment, I realized after reading that I was silly not to include a download link, which I have now added :) Thanks again!

Hi Melanie, is a swat back adjustment built into the pattern? I know a few pattern designers include this but most do not. Thought I would ask before I adjusted. Thank you so much.

Hi Melanie,
I love your patterns... I've made 3 dresses and 2 tops with your bodice pattern... Have you posted the link to the fitted knit dress? I didn't see it on your pattern page... :) Thanks and can't wait to see what other patterns you come out with

I am trying to make the circle skirt but all I have is the template. There is no how to. I thought I got it right and I measured my daughters waist (20") and what I ended up with fits her doll. Not sure how his template is supposed to do anything.

Hello Miss. Melanie,
I'm thrilled that I happened upon your site! Pattern prices are insane to me because I remember when I could buy Levi's for that price so since returning to sewing and a new serger I'm using PDF patterns. When I saw the photo of you wearing the long sleeve knit dress and that you're built just like my daughter and this is the skater style of skirt she adores, I Knew I had to make it.
I did and sent her a photo of it on the dress form(used yarn skeins for the curves) I got a "OMG, It's Beautiful!!!"
It was easy to follow, size on the money, marks matched up perfectly and everything went along smooth as a babys' cheek. I buy pattern tracing material (looks like dryer sheets) by the yard so after I taped it all together I laid it over the print outs grabbed a pencil and made a real pattern that I can use over and over yet it'll fold up like a paper towel. Love the stuff. I Know I'll be making more dresses with this and thanks.

Dear Melanie,

First of all. Thank you for provinding this pattern! It is really lovely.

I am in the middle of making the dress and I am almost finished. It looks really pretty, but at the armhole/bust section the fabric is puckering, like it stands out a bit. I don't know if I can explain it right :). I took the dress to my sewing class and we placed darts arounds the bust area, but it still puckers a little bit. Do you have any tips or advice?
Also if I understood it right the pattern does not have suppose to have darts so maybe I did something wrong. Do you also have tips for this for next time?
Thank you very much!!
